What Is Depression?
Depression and depressive disease or depressive disorder are considered mood disorder which causes the individual to experience emotions of sadness, disinterest and often lethargy. This has a significant and debilitating effect on how someone thinks, feels, behaves, and interacts with the world around them. This can be so profound that even day-to-day tasks become overwhelming and ideas of suicide creep into our thoughts as if we should just give up on life.
Depression (major depressive disorder) is a common and serious medical illness that negatively affects how you feel, the way you think and how you act. Fortunately, it is also treatable. Depression causes feelings of sadness and/or a loss of interest in activities you once enjoyed. It can lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems and can decrease your ability to function at work and home.
What Are Symptoms Of Depression
Although depression may occur only once during your life, people typically have multiple episodes. Holina rehabilitation center finds that it is natural that during these episodes, symptoms occur most of the day, nearly every day and may include:
Feeling sad or having a depressed mood, loss of interest or pleasure in activities once enjoyed, changes in appetite — weight loss or gain unrelated to dieting, trouble sleeping or sleeping too much, loss of energy or increased fatigue, increase in purposeless physical activity (e.g., inability to sit still, pacing, handwringing) or slowed movements or speech (these actions must be severe enough to be observable by others), feeling worthless or guilty, difficulty thinking, concentrating or making decisions, thoughts of death or suicide.
For many people with depression, symptoms usually are severe enough to cause noticeable problems in day-to-day activities, such as work, school, social activities or relationships with others. Some people may feel generally miserable or unhappy without really knowing why.
However, we have a solution, and we believe we can help you with Holina’s Depression Treatment Thailand Program.
